A 22-month old German child was electrocuted yesterday at a hotel in Wennappuwa, where he was staying with his parents.

The boy had been playing on the floor while they were having dinner at the dining room when he had touched an unprotected wire.

The parents were on holiday with the child.

The Wennappuwa police are conducting further investigations.
