The Government Medical Officers' Association expects that the President will take steps to nationalize SAITM, Malabe, its Editor Dr. Nalinda Herath said.

The GMOA held a meeting last evening with the President to discuss several matters including the SAITM and the ETCA with India.

The President said that the SAITM will most probably have to be nationalized, Dr. Herath told media, adding that the GMOA expects the President to end the dispute by nationalizing the institution.

Meanwhile, the GMOA has vowed that it will carry out fighting for the nationalization of the SAITM.

Commenting on its Facebook Page, the GMOA said today that it has not changed its stance. "Our fight will continue till 100% Nationalization" the GMOA said.
