UPFA MP and Pivithuru Hela Urumaya General Secretary Udaya Gammanpila stated that no amount of arrests will stop the 'Jana Satana Pada Yatra' protest march from Kandy to Colombo organized by the 'Joint Opposition'.
Speaking to media after visiting UPFA MP Namal Rajapaksa at the remand prison, Gammanpila said that the government has threatened to arrest 10 MPs of the 'Joint Opposition' before the launch of the protest march on July 28.
Even if all the MPs are arrested, the march will go ahead as planned, he said, adding that it will be led by the people.
Gammanpila was among several MPs who visited Namal Rajapaksa today at the remand prison.
Former First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa and Namal Rajapaksa's two brothers also visited him at the prison today.
