The Joint Opposition are planning a massive protest march from Kandy to Colombo against the government.

UPFA MP Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena said at a press conference in Matara yesterday that the Joint Opposition expects the participation of 500,000 people for the protest march.

He also said that the Joint Opposition was also continuing its plans to form a new movement and claimed that it is attracting support even from within the UNP ranks.
