The six people who were arrested for hunting in the Knuckles range were remanded till July 7 by the Teldeniya Magistrate's Court yesterday.

Three of them, including the alleged ring leader, surrendered yesterday, bringing the total number of people in custody to six.

They were thrown into the limelight when photographs showing their 'exploits' were released on Facebook several days ago. They were seen posing for photogrphs with carcasses of different wild animals and with weapons in hand.

The incident is said to have occurred around five years ago. The arrested individuals are between 20 to 42 years of age.
