Speaking to the media at Bentota beach after his morning exercises, Rajapaksa said that the dispute over the appointment of a Governor for the Central Bank has clearly highlighted the administrative confusion.
He made this observation when asked about the dispute between Deputy Minister Palitha Thewarapperuma and educational authorities.
President Maithripala Sirisena, on June 29, said that he will appoint a new Governor to the Central Bank within a few hours. However, he failed to carry out his pledge.
NFF leader Wimal Weerawansa claimed yesterday that Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe stopped Sirisena from appointing a new Governor.
