Former Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage appeared before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Investigate and Inquire into Serious Acts of Fraud, Corruption and Abuse of Power, State Resources and Privileges (PRECIFAC) to record a statement.
He has been summoned over an transaction where a land belonging to the Railways Department has been given on a lease to the Mahindananda Aluthgamage Fund.
He was summoned to appear before the commission yesterday but informed that he was unable to be present. Thereafter he was asked to appear before the commission today.
