Deputy Minister Ranjan Ramanayake and UPFA MP Mahindananda Aluthgamage exchanged blows outside the Parliamentary Chamber today over some allegation made by Ramanayake against Aluthgamage.
A heated argument between the two developed into an exchange of blows which was stopped by several MPs who intervened.
Ramanayake had earlier in the day made an allegation over a defender with forged number plates parked inside the premises of the MP's quarters in Madiwela. He said that UNP MP Ananda Aluthgamage gave him the information.
Ananda Aluthgamage also claimed that he was familiar with the vehicle which was seen in his electorate in Kandy District.
He is the brother of the UPFA MP Mahindananda Aluthgamage. It is a well known fact that they are political rivals.
