A stock of buried weapons have been discovered from the Kokuvil area in Baticaloa.
The weapons discovered include four T-56 firearms, eight magazines and around 200 ammunition.
The weapons were discovered during some construction work carried out in the land near a house in Kokuvil. The residents informed police who recovered the items.
The Batticaloa police headquarters carried out the preliminary investigations regarding the weapons discovery.
