Maligakande Additional Magistrate Rashmi Kumarasiri allowed the Police Narcotics Bureau to detain and question the three people arrested over the cocaine seizure yesterday.

The detention order is valid till June 22.

They were arrested in relation to the stock of around 91 kg of cocaine discovered yesterday from a container in the Orugodawatte yard.

The special police unit attached to the Finance Ministry made the discovering based on a tip-off.

The drugs were found inside three bags inside the container, which was registered as a shipment of sugar.
