Former MP Tiran Alles was allowed to travel abroad for medical treatment by the Colombo High Court today.
High Court Judge A.A.R. Heyiyanthudawa gave this direction after considering the report filed by the Colombo Chief JMO.
Accordingly, Alles will be allowed to travel abroad for a period of three weeks within the next three month period.
This order was given when Alles's revision application against the Fort Magistrate's refusal to release his passport. Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne had refused the request, saying that it could not be entertained as he was a suspect of a serious financial fraud.
Alles filed the revision application requesting the High Court to overturn the decision.
