Colombo High Court Judge Manilal Waidyathilake temporarily suspended the Nugegoda Magistrate's order to grant bail to former Additional Magistrate Thilina Gamage on alleged unlawful possession of an elephant calf.

The direction was given by the judge following submissions by the Attorney General regarding the revision application filed today.

The revision application will be considered on June 21.

The AG filed the revision application with affidavits from Senior State Counsel Dilipa Peiris and OIC of the Special Investigations Unit of the CID against the order given by Nugegoda Magistrate on June 2 to released Gamage on bail.
