The so-called “Islamic State of Iraq and Syria” (ISIS) posted a video on Wednesday that showed their terrorists demolishing the 2,500 year old temple of Nabu in Iraq.
Following the destruction of this ancient temple, a member from the terrorist group appeared on film to tell viewers that the Islamic State plans on destroying more archaeological sites that were built by “infidels.”
In particular, the unidentified terrorist indicated that the Islamic State plans on demolishing the Great Pyramid of Giza, along with several other ancient Egyptian sites.
Meanwhile, the United Nations has confirmed the destruction of the temple, according to Iran's Press TV.
The UN has come to the conclusion after comparing the satellite images of the temple in January with recent images.
ISIS has destroyed a number of archaeological sites in the past; however, all of these structures were limited to Syria and Iraq.
