The Colombo - Avissawella road was partially closed today until the residents could clear debris from their homes.

The road will be open for buses, ambulances and vehicles of the residents.

This decision was taken after a protest by the residents today who demanded the road be closed until their houses are cleared. The road was closed after the fire at Salawa army camp on June 5 and was opened last evening.
