A new locally made electric car using has been unveiled recently, as a viable alternative for the fossil fuel use.

The prototype of the vehicle, an electric car manufactured by Kapla Motor Industries, was brought to the Finance Ministry yesterday by its producer K.T. Kapila de Silva. It was inspected by Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake, who pledged to support the manufacture and release of the vehicle to the market.
