The Attorney General has filed indictment against UPFA MP Prasanna Ranatunga, his wife Maureen Ranatunga and another individual over a case of financial fraud.
The indictment was filed over an incident where Ranatunga had solicited a bribe of Rs 64 million from a businessman in Moratuwa and had accepted Rs 15 million.
It was alleged that Ranatunga accepted the bribe by a cheque written in his wife's name.
The FCID initiated investigations over the incident last year.
Sixty five witnesses and 35 production items have been named by the AG in the indictment.
