Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake yesterday stated that a small car would be introduced for a reasonable price, instead of three-wheelers.
Speaking about the increase of vehicle prices, Karunanayake said that there were too many vehicles in the country and the country's infrastructure was not developed adequately to cope with the traffic.
The large number of three-wheelers was the reason for the increase of the tax on those vehicles.
Meanwhile, the Finance Minister also said that President Maithripala Sirisena's trip to Japan was extremely successful.
