Sri Lanka fast bowler Nuwan Kulasekara announced his retirement from Test cricket, Sri Lanka Cricket said today.
The 33 year-old made his ODI debut in 2003 and Test debut in 2005. He has represented Sri Lanka in 21 Test matches and has taken 48 wickets at an average of 37.37.
The fast bowler said that his decision was taken in order to pay more attention to the shorter formats, where he has performed better.
Kulasekara is much better known as a ODI player and reached the top of ICC ranking of ODI bowlers in March 2009.
