JVP MP and its Propaganda Secretary Vijitha Herath will be produced before the Magistrate's Court today regarding the recent accident occurred in ajagiriya.

He met with an accident on Monday night when his vehicle collided with a telephone post by the road.

He was arrested and released on police bail later.

Herath yesterday said that he met with the accident when he tried to avoid a pedestrian who was crossing the road. He also rejected rumors that he was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
