The Tri-forces have decided to revoke the ban on the Eastern Province Chief Minister Nazeer Ahamed, the Army Spokesman said today.
The tri-forces took this decision after the CM publicly scolded a navy officer on May 20. The CM asked the officer to "get out of here" during a dispute. The CM was disturbed by not being invited to the stage before the visiting US Ambassador during a finction at Sampur Maha Vidyalaya.
The tri-forces decided to boycott all functions attended by the CM and not to let him enter military camps.
The CM responded by hitting out at the tri-forces, declaring that their decision was a political one.
However, the military decided to revoke the decision effective from today.
