The daughter of the Horowpathana OIC has died after a knife attack last night at Galenbindunuwewa.

Both the daughter and her mother were injured in the stabbing last night and were admitted to hospital. The daughter succumbed to her injuries later.

The mother is still undergoing treatment in hospital.

The attacker was said to be the son-in-law of the OIC.
