The tri-forces have decided to 'boycott' Eastern Province Chief Minister Nazeer Ahamed over the recent reprimand of a navy officer by the CM.

Accordingly, the military will not allow Ahamed to visit camps and will not take part in any event in which he takes part.

The said dispute occurred on May 20 in Sampur Maha Vidyalaya when Ahamed scolded a navy officer to "just get out from here."

The Navy expressed its displeasure of the incident and has already handed over a report to the Defence Secretary regarding the matter.

Meanwhile, taking part in a TV programme last night, the Defence Secretary said that a military officer does not deserve to be spoken in that manner under any circumstance.

The report handed over by the navy was forwarded to the President and the Prime Minister, he also confirmed.
