Frontline Socialist Party Propaganda Secretary Pubudu Jayagoda and Politburo Member Sujith Kuruwita were arrested by police on the alleged attack on the Immigration and Emigration Department recently.

The incident occurred on April 1, 2016, when the FLSP was holding a protest to urge the government to grant citizenship to FLSP Central Committee Member Kumar Gunaratnam.

A clash took place between the FLSP and the police during the protest.

Jayagoda and Kuruwita were summoned to the Maradana Police today to obtain a statement.
