A special flight from Pakistan, carrying relief aid such as Water bottles, blankets, medicine, and other essential food, for victims of landslides and floods arrived at the Katunayake International Airport yesterday.
A media release of the Pakistan High Commission stated that a 30-bed fully-equipped field hospital which had operation theatres and x-ray laboratories were sent to Sri Lanka. Two special cargo aircraft, carrying relief items, were also expected to reach Colombo shortly.
The High Commission also stated that 17 Pakistani doctors would be arriving in Sri Lanka for providing health care assistance.
