The floodwaters in Kelani Valley had still not receded, Irrigation Department stated.                   

Director of Irrigation (Hydrology) Eng. Prema Hettiarachchi told local media that although the flood levels in major river basins of the island have decreased as a whole, lower basin of Kelani River is still flooded and the threat has not passed.

According to a report released by Irrigation Department yesterday afternoon, the water level of Kelani River had marked 7 feet in Nagalagam Street.
