Jayalalithaa Jeyaram's All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam has inched past the DMK-Congress alliance in the Tamil Nadu Assembly polls, according to NDTV.

Accordingly, initial counting in 170 seats suggested that the AIADMK is leading in 101. DMK-Congress Alliance was leading in 66.

However, some initial reports had earlier suggested that the race will be neck-and-neck between the two sides.

Meanwhile, some AIADMK supporters have gathered outside Jayalalithaa's residents, anticipating victory.
