Egyptair has announced on social media that one of its passenger planes has disppeared from radar. Flight MS804 left Paris at 21:09 UTC heading to Cairo.
"An informed source at Egyptair stated that Flight no MS804, which departed Paris at 23:09 (CEST), heading to Cairo has disappeared from radar," the airline said on its official Twitter feed.
"EGYPTAIR A320 was at a height of 37.000ft, and disappeared after entering the Egyptian airspace with 10 miles" it said in another Tweet, adding that inspection was already underway.
The jet was an Airbus A320-232, according to the flight tracking site Flightradar 24.
The plane was carrying 59 passengers and ten crew.
