Facebook set up a safety check for Sri Lanka floods, which became active a short while ago.
"According to government reports, recent flooding and landslides in Sri Lanka have caused widespread disruptions across the country. At least 200,000 people have been displaced by the floods, many casualties have been reported and dozens are feared missing. Rains are expected to continue for several days", Facebook said on its safety check page.
Water level in the Kelani River is still on the rise, threatening low-lying areas along the river valley.
Meanwhile, more than 120 people are still missing following a massive landslide in the Aranayake area.
