Muruttettuwe Ananda Thera today revealed that there was a plan to recruit 50 former Commando soldiers for the security of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

A number of former Commandos have expressed their willingness to join Rajapaksa's security squad, he said, addressing a press conference at Abhayarama today.

He also revealed that interviews are being held these days and four former soldiers have already been recruited.

Ananda Thera claimed that he was being threatened because of his program to bolster Rajapaksa's security.
