The NBRO issued landslid warnings for seven districts, effective for 24 hours.

The districts are Badulla, Moneragala, Nuwara Eliya, Kandy, Ratnapura, Kegale and Kurunegala.

The Disaster Management Centre earlier warned residents of Badulla and Moneragala Districts to be vigilant of landslides in identified and risky areas if rains continue till tomorrow morning.

Meanwhile, the spill gates of Weheragala Reservoir have been opened and the people living in the low-lying areas around the Menik Ganga are being warned to be vigilant of rising water levels.
