The Sinhalese translation of the autobiography of the former political head of the LTTE Thamilini Jeyakumar alias Subramaniam Sivagamy, “Thiyunu aseepathaka Sevana” (Under the shadow of a sharp weapon) was launched at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute yesterday.
Senior Lecturer of University of Jaffna Saminadan Wimal translated the autobiography which was published by Dharmasiri Bandaranaike.
A large number of people participated in the event including, Senior Lecturers Ven. Agalakada Sirisumana, and Dambara Amila, Tamilini’s husband Jeyakumar, Minister Mano Ganeshan, MP Nalinda Jayatissa, Provincial Council Member Nishantha Sri Warnasinghe, and several Oncologists who treated Thamilini when she was suffering from cancer.
Gamini Viyangoda, Dharmasiri Bandaranaike, and Jeyakumar delivered speeches during the event.
Bandaranaike said in his speech that some people make baseless accusations after the autobiography was translated.
