Former Minister Mervyn Silva appeared before the police Financial Crimes Investigation Division to give a statement on a land in Kiribathgoda, police sources said.

The former Minister was the Chief Organizer of the SLFP when former President Mahinda Rajapaksa was in power. He later turned a strong critique of Rajapaksa's brothers.
