Northern Provincial Council member M. K. Sivajilingam stated that a commemoration function will be held in memory of former LTTE leader, members, and Tamil civilians who died in the civil war.

There is no need to take permission from anyone to hold a commemoration of that manner, he said.

Sivajilingam also said that the commemoration will be held at Vellamullivaikkal in Mullaitivu, and no obstacle can stop them.

Sivajilingam, along with a group of persons conducted an LTTE commemorative function in last years as well.
