Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure Minister Harin Fernando today said JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake was misleading the public by claiming that Rs 600 million are spent for two vehicles for Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

Speaking during a press conference at Sirikotha UNP Headquarters, Fernando said that the vehicles were brought on the recommendation of the Prime Minister's Security Division.

The vehicles cost only Rs 128 and the rest of the cost is taxes which the government is paying itself, Fernando also added.

He also maintained that the Parliament has been informed of the other expenses, contrary to the claims of the JVP leader.
