Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa left for Uganda early this morning to attend the fifth swearing-in ceremony of the Ugandan President Yoweri Musaveni.
He left the island at 3.15 a.m. on board flight EK 349 of the Emirates.
The swearing-in ceremony is to be held tomorrow in Kampala, Uganda.
Around fifty heads of state have been invited for the swearing in of Musaveni, who has ruled Uganda from 1986.
