Sri Lanka Navy said in a statement yesterday that six local fishermen who were engaged in illegal harvesting of Sea Cucumbers have been arrested in the seas east of Chalai.  

150 sea cucumbers were found during the raid, along with two Fiber Glass Dinghies, 20 oxygen cylinders, 4 pairs of diving fins, and 4 diving masks which were taken into custody.   

The arrested fishermen and their belongings were handed over to the Mulaitivu Police for further investigations.
