Sri Lanka-born Bollywood star Jacqueline Fernandez will work towards re-building homes ravaged by natural disasters in her native country, India's Mumbai Mirror said citing a 'source.'
She will be working in the coming months in collaboration with the NGO Habitat for Humanity, Mumbai Mirror also said.
Other Bollywood stars have also expressed their willingness to support the initiative.
Fernandez, speaking to Mumbai Mirror, said that the project was in the planning stages. She is currently engaged in helping the Chennai flood victims.
The 2006 Miss Universe Sri Lanka contest winner, the thirty year-old later moved to Bollywood cinema.
