The former Commander of the LTTE Charles Anthony Brigade, Sivamoorthi Kanapathipillai alias Nagulan, was arrested yesterday by the Terrorist Investigation Division.

He was taken into custory at Kopay in Jaffna District.

The TID recently detained the former LTTE 'Colonel' Ram in Ampara.

The Charles Anthony Brigade was a elite brigade of the LTTE and Nagulan, as its commander, was a key figure in the LTTE. However, he was not arrested or had not surrendered to the security forces at any earlier occasion.

Since the war he has settled down in Kopay.
