The Northern Provincial Council unanimously passed a resolution on the solution for Sri Lanka's national question at a recent session.

There were 28 out of the 38 NPC members present at the time of the vote for the resolution.

This resolution called for a federal solution and an amalgamation of the northern and eastern provinces.
