Moratuwa Deputy Mayor D.M. Sujith Pushpakumara lashed out at the 'Joint Opposition' and challenged it to bring 99 percent of the UPFA members of local government bodies to the Kirupalone May Rally.

He said that if the Joint Opposition is able to achieve this goal, he will commit suicide in front of the Moratuwa Municiple Council building.

Speaking at a press conference yesterday he added that those who have been involved in various fraudulent activities are holding a separate May Rally since they cannot face the SLFP leadership.

The authentic May Day rally of the SLFP will be at Galle, he added.
