Northern Province Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran was hospitalized yesterday to Jaffna Teaching Hospital due to a sudden illness.

The talks scheduled for today regarding the land issue in the north between the CM, the President and the Prime Minister had to be delayed due to Wigneswaran's health.

Some TNA members had opposed what they call the unjust appropriation of lands by the government in the north.
