One woman was killed and forty others injured when a staff transportation bus of Talawakele Tea Research Institute went off a cliff.

The accident took place around 10:00 am today near Mattakele tea estate.

The injured were admitted to Lindula Hospital and fifteen who were in critical condition were transferred to Nuwara Eliya Base Hospital.
