In a significant breakthrough, the results of the DNA tests on the 35-year-old man arrested last Friday in Kotakethana, linked him to the murders of six women in Kotakethana and Kahawatta, the Pelmadulla Magistrate was informed today.

The Genetec Institute, which carried out the tests, found that the suspect's DNA samples matched with the DNA samples of the objects recovered from the location and the bodies of the six women.

The mystery of the recent murders in Kotakethana and the vicinity, which took place over the past few years, are yet to be resolved.
