Examinations Commissioner General Jayantha Pushpakumara today said that it was not possible to postpone the G.C.E Ordinary Level examination as everything has been finalized.

 

Therefore, aesthetic subjects will be held tomorrow morning as scheduled following literature in the evening, he told.

 

He also said that several trade unions made requests asking him to consider the possibility of postponing the examination paper which is scheduled to be held on Tuesday (15) due to general strike planned to launch by the government, semi-government and private sector employees.

 

He informed LTB Chairman to deploy buses to examination centers in the event there was a bus strike in the morning, he asserted. Therefore, transport will not become an issue, he added.

 

However, he requested candidates to arrive at examination centers as early as possible.
