A driver of the former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is to be arrested for the murder of former Sri Lanka Rugby captain Wasim Thajudeen, a weekend newspaper reported.
CCTV footages on the abduction of Thajudeen were handed over to Colombo University to be analyzed. CID reported to the court that Colombo University had identified several suspects and vehicles from CCTV footages.
A military officer who was the driver of former president Rajapaksa, to be arrested in connection with Thajudeen’s murder, and several others to be arrested for questioning.
However, sources has reported the suspect has been removed from the Presidential detail and transferred to a military camp in Trincomalee.
