The JVP stands against the distribution of vouchers for school uniforms, said the National Trade Union Centre Chairman K.D. Lal Kantha.

He made this observation yesterday at a press conference held at CSR.

“Parents and teachers who commented on the matter said that they were severely inconvenienced by the new system of distributing vouchers instead of textile.

Government stated that the new system saves funds. We believe that causing difficulties to the public in order to save money is highly questionable”, Lal Kantha said.
