The Moratuwa University is currently inspecting CCTV records related to the murder of former Sri Lanka rugby player Wasim Thajudeen, reports said.
The police are in serious difficulties due to the fact that proper police investigations have not be carried out in 2012, when the murder occurred, reports also said.
Experts are attempting to recover the CCTV records which have been erased. CCTV records from cameras in Colombo are not kept for longer periods of time.
Thajudeen’s body was found on May 17, 2012, in his car which apparently met with an accident near the Shalika Grounds, Narahenpita. However, it was later transpired that he had been murdered.
