Nalaka Godahewa, Former Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), has informed the police Financial Crimes Investigations Division that he was unable to attend the FCID today.
Godahewa's lawyer informed the FCID that he was not available at home today and was unable to make it. The lawyer also informed that he would report to the FCID on another date.
Godahewa was summoned to the FCID in connection with an alleged Rs. 5 million fraud in the SEC. The alleged incident had taken place in 2013.
Police yesterday made two arrests regarding the irregularities in the SEC. They were remanded till December 7.
