The former OIC of Narahenpita Police was arrested by the officials of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery and Corruption regarding the recent incident of accepting a bribe of Rs 2.5 million.

The Narahenpita Police Crimes OIC was arrested on November 27 by the Bribery Commission while soliciting a bribe of Rs 2.5 million. It was later revealed that the then Narahenpita OIC was also involved in the case.

The OIC was later transferred to Ampara.
