The Sri Lanka Administrative Services Association launched a work to rule campaign today against the budget proposals which were approved in Parliament yesterday.
This is the first time that the SLAS officers launched a trade union action, SLASA Secretary Rohana de Silva told Asian Mirror.
SLASA will conduct protests in front of Sethsiripaya, Battaramulla, and in front of the Department of Immigration and Emigration in Punchi Borella, during the lunch hour today.
The government doctors also launched a strike today. Several other sectors have also joined the trade union action, including government engineers.
